Time Trial #24 Results

Heather Scibetta

Spring wrapped up with the Titans hosting Time Trial # 24 at the Town of Tonawanda Aquatic and Fitness Center Friday the 18th. We once again it was great to race swimmers from other teams, as we played host to BAAC and a total of 92 swimmers in the meet. Thanks again to all who volunteered, swam, and coached the meet.

Level 1 had 5 swimmers participate in our most recent time trial last Friday: Evelyn, Khloe, Lannen, Lilah and Harper. 6 new best times and 3 DQs make for another time trial going in the right direction; improvements were made and improvements will follow in practice. Great job and can’t wait to see what happens with the long course time trial this Friday!

Level 2 had a modest 2 swimmers compete in last Friday’s time trial with Derek and Michael. Things are going in the right direction and they’re working hard with each swim! I’m excited to see how the long course time trial goes on the 25th!

Level 3 has reached our 24th time trial and swimmers are still putting in an amazing effort in each of their swims. Each of our swimmers continue to have positive attitudes and continue to push themselves and their teammates in practice and at the meets.Level 3  had 9 swimmers compete this meet. We had swimmers competing in new events and showing us coaches what they can do. At the end of the meet we had 9 best times and no DQs! The swimmers have been putting in a great effort at each practice and it showed this meet. Great Job!

Level 4 continues to work on the little things at practice and we are beginning to see those efforts pay off. Five Level 4 swimmers were in attendance posting 11 personal bests and zero disqualifications! Outstanding efforts by Lucas Castelo Barnum, James Lyons, Ella Pawelczyk, Abigail Sule, and Mia Zablock were on display all evening.

Level 5 had 8 swimmers compete with 5 best times and no DQ’s! We have been very pleased with their work and the support they continue to show one another at meets.

Level 6 had eight swimmers have some fun swimming fast at the meet. Twelve new personal bests were achieved with four new events getting conquered and only 1 DQ! Heather Malkiewicz, Ava Riehler, and Meredith Roberts could do no wrong swimming personal bests with every swim, not an easy feat at this level! All of Level 6 can be proud, as their effort and dedication is showing as we continue to work on getting better in and out of the water!
