The Natalie Lewis Spring Invite returned! For the first time in 2 years we ran a Long Course Meet at the Town of Tonawanda Aquatic and Fitness Center! It was all hands on deck for this three session meet and it was a great opportunity to swim in the Olympic size pool! We played host to Amherst, BAAC, TWST and Victor hosting the biggest event in a long time! Two hundred and forty-five swimmers were given the opportunity to swim in Long Course Meters and the results were fantastic! We want to thank all the swimmers, coaches, officials, and volunteers that made this another great meet to be remembered. We took advantage of the opportunity to bring in the Lewis family and award our Natalie Lewis Scholarship to 2 of our graduating seniors who composed fantastic essays on what swimming has meant to them. It was amazing to see the Lewis family;they continue to be some of the most positive people we have ever met. Thanks to the Lewis’s for all they have done to inspire the Titans!

Level 1 swam in their first ever Long Course meet this past weekend in the Natalie Lewis Spring Invite. Khloe, Lannen and Lilah all swam hard in the much larger pool and had a great time doing it! It was a great progression step forward by swimming in this meet and I couldn’t be prouder. Great work and we’ll keep working at Long Course now and throughout the summer.

Level 2 participated in their first Natalie Lewis Spring Invite in a few years and swam great! Xavier, Connor, Charlotte and Michael all did a great job in their events. Long course meters is never an easy transition but for the first time swimming it in almost 2 years, everyone stepped up and swam extremely well. Here’s to a great start to the summer season!

Level 3 had 4 swimmers come out to race in their first long course meet of the season. Josie Lyons, Carly Beckley, Natalie Lever, and Tony Lizauckas all had incredible swims. We are so proud of you all for trying some new events in the long course pool! We can’t wait to watch our level continue to develop and swim fast this summer. Awesome job level 3, keep up the good work!

Level 4 had seven swimmers compete in 20 Long course meter events, doing a truly fantastic job! Many of these swimmers have never swam in LCM but they were up to the challenge swimming everything from 200 meter free to the 50’s and 100’s of stroke without a single disqualification! Now we have an idea of what it is to swim in this type of meet and we look forward to seeing the improvement in the future Long Course meets!

Level 5 had 13 swimmers represent the group at the Natalie Lewis Spring Invite. After not swimming a long course meet for quite some time, we saw some incredible time drops which just showcases the hard work everyone has been putting in at practice throughout the last year. We are so proud of the level’s dedication and commitment to swimming fast and efficient! We are excited to see our level 5 swimmers progress and fast swimming through the summer. Keep up the great work!

Level 6 had twenty-two super swimmers attend the meet amassing sixty-nine LCM swims, eighteen Niagara LSC Gold championship cut times, many new swims in events like the 400 IM and 200’s of stroke, with 2 DQ’s to learn from. Long Course is a different type of racing and these swimmers did a fantastic job in the first Long Course meet in almost 2 years! Everyone has something to be proud of and hopefully learn from.

Level 7-8, It was great to get to swim LC for the 1st time in almost 2 years. We really got to see your improvement over the last year or so. We had 44 swimmers compete nearly 120 personal best times. It was great to see a number of the kids swim new events and build on some of the short course events that we have been doing. Shootout to the Seniors on a tremendous run as Titans and we hope that even though you are graduating that your involvement with the team doesn’t end. Once a Titan always a Titan!
