Star invite results
The team sent 29 swimmers to the Star Short Course Invitational held December 2nd through the 5th at ECC’s Flickinger Aquatic Center. This was the second “Championship” formatted meet this season and another opportunity to learn from the preliminary swims and apply it to finals! The Titans did fantastic against some of the best teams from all over the east coast. Swimmers from Levels 3 to Level 8 endured the ICY waters of ECC keeping warm with the efforts they put into their swims. There were two sessions of preliminary swims the 13-14 and Open session and the 12 and under session. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday the top 8 finishers 10 and under, top 16 for 11-2 & 13-14, and the top 24 open swimmers returned to race at finals. We pulled together 25 Finals appearances over the three days getting to see some amazing races!
The 12 and under swimmers were absolutely amazing! They piled up 38 personal best times, 56 NI “Gold” cuts, 16 CQ “Silver” cuts, 4 amazing relays, and some competitive individual racing! The 12 & under Titans were represented by Anne Boscarino, Grace Griffin, Elli Homish, Megan Hufnagel, Tessa Michalowski, Elise Muffoletto, Lilah Pawelek, Josephine Russom, Abigail Sule, Kylie Szaflarski, and Khalil Voelker. These ladies were fantastic all weekend. They prepared well in warm up, raced with heart and determination, and had a ton of laughs on deck. Each session was fun to watch, and these Titans got better all weekend! We finished the meet with our best showing at finals with 6 ladies returning at night to race! Congratulations to all!
