TWST Turkey Splash Team Challenge
The Titans swam at the TWST Turkey Splash Team Challenge on Sunday November 19th. We had a total of 31 swimmers across both the morning and afternoon sessions from levels 1 through 6. This was the fourth meet in a row over the last four weeks, but we still had some great swims across both the 12 and under session and open session. A big thank you to all the swimmers who came and swam well along with having a good time. Another thank you to the Titans officials who came and volunteered on deck. We had 30 personal best swims, 14 new swims, 23 silver cut times,13 gold cut times, and our 2 relays to close out the morning along with a 1st place finish by our Titans Medley relay of Lucy Pendley, James Lyons, Vivienne Cabin, and Evan Matesic!
Level 1 saw 5 swimmers attend with Natalie Sheaks swimming 4 new swims in the 50 free, back, and fly along with the 100 Free. Sammy Bennett had an awesome 50 free dropping 11 seconds, while Logan Sullivan had a joined him in the 50 freestyle. Harper Marks had super swims in both the 50 free and breaststroke. Charlotte Mertz also did a great job with 2 swims on the day. Great job level 1 swimmers!
Level 2 had great swims from both Lily Bedford and Joseph Bennett. Lily swam a total of 400 yards of events on the day including the 200 IM, while Joey had his own personal best in the 100 Freestyle and even added a silver qualifier time in the 50 Butterfly! Way to go from both of our level 2 swimmers!
Level 3 had 7 swimmers in attendance with some great swims all around. Jax Giove had a 24 second drop in his 100 Freestyle along with a new event in the 50 Free! Agnes Pendley, and Alexis Carter all had a busy day with 450 yards of racing between the two of them adding 3 personal bests between them. Derek Hufnagel and Khloe Kibby also had busy days with 550 yards of awesome racing! We also had Joseph Krieger and Anthony Wild add 3 silver times between them and each got a gold cut to boot! Great day of racing from our level 3 swimmers!
Level 4 had great swims around the board kicking off with Emmy Dewey who went 3 for 3 with new swims and also achieved silver cut times in all 3 events, way to go Emmy! Evan Matesic also added a new event in the 100 Free and a silver cut time in the 50 Freestyle! Gabriella Wild also had an awesome 100 Freestyle where she dropped 13 seconds along with a 6 second drop in the 50 Backstroke! Josie Welsch also added 2 silver cut times in both the 50 and 100 Backstroke! Way to go level 4 swimmers!
Level 5 had 4 swimmers in attendance with great swims from all. Jackie Adams went 3 for 3 with best times along with a great 50 Back to lead off one of the 2 medley relays! Josie Lyons and Jackson Famiglietti had great swims to end 4 straight weekends of meets! We also had Vivienne Cabin drop time in all 3 of her events and achieving gold cut times in all! Nice job from our level 5 swimmers!
Level 6 had 9 swimmers join us across both morning and afternoon sessions. Matthew Cwiklinski swam a total of 450 yards and dropped over 7 seconds between them! Megan Hufnagel, Brynn Muffoletto, Elise Muffoletto, and Khalil Voelker had 9 silver cuts between them and Elise added a gold cut in the 50 Freestyle, way to go ladies! Ellie Homish dropped 21 seconds in the 500 Freestyle and also managed to achieve a STAR Invitational cut time to go along with a silver cut time! Jayce Sinatra and James Lyons had some great swims with Jayce placing top 5 in all 3 of his events and James going 4 for 4 with 1st place finishes along with 4 gold cut times to add! Lucy Pendley also had a great day with 2 gold cut times and 3 silver cut times along with finishing 1st in 2 events and 2nd in her other two events! This was James and Lucy's last meet in the 12 and under age group and they put themselves in a great spot to compete in the 13 and over age group! Great job from all of our level 6 swimmers as we look forward to the STAR Invite next weekend!
